Sometimes, i say
“It’s okay to bleed”
to keep your thoughts of pain
behind bars, and question the scars;
to view your tears in retrospect,
then begin to rip off all you reaped
from dug graves that once claimed to shelter
your abilities the world never understood.
it is okay to bleed,
letting out the bad blood that almost chocked
your vision and passion for a new life.
For every season of reflection,
i just want to bleed,
and allow the heavenly splattering rains
drain away the pains
and the scars
